The Panc02 cell line is a widely used murine model for studying pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), which is the most common and aggressive form of pancreatic cancer. Panc02 cells were originally derived from chemically induced pancreatic tumors in C57BL/6 mice. This cell line is of great importance in preclinical research because it can be orthotopically implanted into syngeneic mice, simulating the natural tumor environment and providing insights into the immune response and treatment resistance mechanisms of PDAC.
